Travel Medical Insurance

The probability of requiring a medical evacuation is low; however, evacuations can be expensive.  Comprehensive travel medical insurance is recommended, especially for those without a valid BC Care Card.
Trip participants are encouraged to check if their current medical insurance would cover evacuation costs from a remote wilderness area in British Columbia, as well as possible medical treatment costs.  Additional travel medical insurance is optional and may be recommended, depending on your current coverage.

Trip Cancellation Insurance

If you choose to cancel your trip, cancellation insurance could reimburse the trip price and travel expenses.  Some insurance policies also reimburse travel expenses in the unlikely event that we must cancel a trip.
Cancellation insurance is optional and recommended.  In some circumstances, it may only be purchased within a day or two of paying the trip deposit.
